Review of Camera Trap

Camera Trap (2014)
2/10
Mark Bonnar.... again?
4 September 2015
Warning: Spoilers
Mark Bonnar has now starred in two horror films, in the same year, about documentary film makers in search of a mysterious wild cat. 'X Moor' certainly had potential, but ended on a sour note, due to a stinker second half - so, how does 'Camera Trap' fair?

Well, much like the title of the film, it stinks. It's one of those found footage horror films with little to no budget, so they spend most of their time filming in the dark, so no one can see anything. We never get to see who or what the attackers are, but judging by the awful sound, I'm going to assume they were being picked off by mentally challenged beings from another planet. Yes, low budget guys from outer space. Again, this is only MY guess - It's hard to make an accurate judgment when the director uses his no budget to his advantage - You cheeky bastard, you!

When Alex Verner gets a little more cash, and a better title, maybe he can give this another shot, because I can't speak for the rest of you out there - but I don't like staring at darkness for 90 minutes.

Random Ramblings of a Madman: If you guys get really bored, and you find yourself about to watch 'Camera Trap,' send me a private message - We'll load up skype, and after you direct yourself to the nearest DARK corner of your house (This is very important, because you're not allowed to SEE anything.) I will then sit on the other end screaming obnoxious sounds for 90 minutes. We'll call it 'Skype Trap.' I hope Alex Verner didn't copyright that yet.
