Warning: Spoilers
As you can see from my rating, I'd go with the latter. I have seen quite a few Soviet cartoons and almost all of them were superior to these 10 minutes here by writer and director Aleksandr Tatarskiy. This one does not deliver in terms of animation style, characters, in terms of music and especially not in terms of story, which really feels suitable only for very very young audiences. I love animated films and I think that people from all ages should watch more of them, but if the level of quality is like for this one, then animation is really only for children and not for teenagers even. I felt this was a pretty weak watch, apart from the fact that the film needs ages to actually get going. The IMDb rating truly surprises me. Going by that one, it is one of the best animated short films ever made. Are you kidding me. Well.. make up your mind for yourself perhaps. If you still want to see it, make sure you get a decent set of subtitles. I, however, do not recommend checking this one out.
