Season 4, Episode 24

She ain't holy she's my sister
2 November 2016
Warning: Spoilers
***SPOILERS*** This is one for the books-Holy books-involving a pistol packing nun Sister Maria, Season Hubley, who instead of forgiving those that had her drug trafficking sister Helen played by a boozy looking Gloria Grahame, whom she very obviously forgave for her crimes, being blown away by her fellow drug dealer Harry Harmon, Murray Hamilton. Sister Marie who's now out for revenge to settle the score by her knocking him and his paid hit-man Walter Zeif,Harold Gray, off for offing her sister Helen who threatened to turn them in to the police if she didn't get a bigger cut of the profits.

Let. Theo Kojak, Telly Savalas, acting more like a Catholic priest then homicide detective tries to talk Marie out of killing anyone and tries to have her flown out of NYC to her home in Dayton Ohio before she does anything stupid or dangerous. But Sister Marie spoils all that by knocking off Zeif in self defense, when he was about to plug her in her hotel room, and later blasting but not fatally Harmon at a Brooklyn Cemetery as he was about to lay a wreath of flowers on his mother's grave.

***SPOILERS*** Under the very unusual circumstances of the case Sister Marie was allowed to go Scot-free by the NYPD and D.A's office as well as Let. Kojak but as for the church that's another story. Which may in the end not look to kindly at what Sister Marie did. As for Sister Marie herself she being human not a saint did what she felt that had to be done even if it ends up getting her thrown out of the church which she spent her entire life being fiercely dedicated to. P.S Season Hubley would two years later play the part of a street wise and harden hooker in the 1979 film "Hardcore" a role totally opposite to the one she played here.
