Review of Pilot

Taken: Pilot (2017)
Season 1, Episode 1
4/10
Well, this was bad

Let me make one thing clear from the very beginning - Clive Standen is an excellent Bryan Mills, which is why I am being so generous with the rating here. The guy can look like a young Liam Neeson, and, being an experienced martial artist and stuntman, he is convincing in the action scenes. The sad thing is that, apparently, he is the only one in the entire production who actually knows what he is doing. The writing of the pilot is truly horrible, and the directing isn't much better. They turned Mills into a moron. Seriously, during the entire episode all he is doing is show incredible stupidity masquerading as intelligence and skill. Seriously, I don't want to spoil it for you, but this is the truth. Plus, this seems like it will turn into "The Blacklist", which is exactly what I don't want from 'Taken'. And also, this is supposed to be a prequel to the movies, but the technology everyone is using is more modern than what was shown in the first movie. So...

I will not continue watching this. Hell, even writing about it is boring as hell, as you can probably see from this disjointed review. Still, I had to write it. Sorry.
