That graceful little actress, Adelaide Lawrence, is the life of this picture of sentiment and pathos. It illustrates a bit of verse which is not strong or very human; but is itself much better than this. If the story were told plainly, it would be ridiculous; but, like some rough urn, it holds an essence of pleasant odor and makes an acceptable offering.
