THE AVATAR PROJECT is an Italian science fiction effort with high aspirations and a very low, indie-style budget. The mind-bending storyline is set in a single location and consists of a bunch of characters sitting around a table for the entire running time while they discuss/engage in theoretical subjects. There are a few tense moments dotted throughout but this is generally long-winded; it's all very well discussing theory but you have to show something sometimes, and this just doesn't convince.
