Dreary, talky drama
26 January 2018
Warning: Spoilers
I should note that I haven't seen the first OCTOBER MOON film so I was left a little confused by NOVEMBER SON, especially at the outset, which seems to take place following violent incident in the first flick. This is marketed variously as a comedy and a horror film, but I found it a one-note drama instead. The story's protagonist is a gay man struggling with his sexuality and becoming a homicidal maniac in the process. It's one of those dreary productions which is all talk with no 'meat' to the story, and as for the horror content, it's virtually zero aside from scream queen Brinke Stevens in a small role.
