In Blackness: Acting is Great But No Story
24 June 2018
This is reminiscent of 80s vampire-themed films such Fright Night, Lost Boys and Vamp including even 90s Embrace of a Vampire. Its strength is the acting talents of Justin Johnson Cortez (playing Dean), who manages to keep the story going, even if its only for 12 minutes. The story is not there, another formulated vampire, as a mysterious and seductive entity. Burkhammer's visual direction is steady and works as a stylized narrative.
