After a simple yet delicious 'macher jhol'.. there was a wait for even tastier treat from director Pratim D Gupta . But somehow the mix didn't turn out well enough perhaps because of putting too many spices at once.

The movie started on a track and followed basic story telling of 4 separate stories. Not all of them are much convincing but still they don't go out of course. But into the second half, the stories go haywire. For instance,

1) if Charulata and Barun are travelling in Kolkata only, then what's the need of them staying in a hotel? 2) How the hell the oncologist's daughter fall for mere street thief? I can understand, she did it once for fun. But continuing with that, is too much spice to digest. 3) Though, Micheal Tendulkar might be a pro stealer, but breaking into a superstar's home and rightfully convincing him about visiting ailing titli.. is that even believable!! 4) There is good attempt at the end to relate Pahari to Charulata, but didn't look that convincing.

Overall, it's a feel good movie with strong performances from actors like, Mamata Shankar, Anjan Dutta, and Paoli Daam. Ritwick was little underused in this movie. But definitely the star of the movie is Adil Hussain.
