I don't understand people complaining about the timeline. It's obvious Yen started years before Geralts story in Blaviken begins. Both are moving at a different pace to the moment they meet each other. Then they'll get together and move to the timeline of Ciri.
They mention the time in nearly every episode, with someone mentioning the Lioness of Cintra (being a child, winning her first battle) or someone saying '10 years have passed'.
