Mad Men: Three Sundays (2008)
Season 2, Episode 4
Easter and Spanking
9 June 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Peggy is at church and she leaves and has a conversation with Father.

I love how Betty is so poised and I aspire to be like that.

Donald and Betty are in bed and Betty is wearing a pretty white nightgown.

The phone rings and Betty picks up while Don is touching her. She cancels the plans on the phone as requested by Don and he lays on top of Betty to make love. Their kids come running in and Don tells them they are "sleeping". Betty tells them to make breakfast.

Bobby burns himself and Betty takes him to the hospital while Don takes Sally to work. She looks so adorable and out of place. She drinks alcohol unknowingly.

When Father comes over to Peggy's family's home, one of the women tell Father about Peggy's career. She says how Peggy makes words as she is a copywriter for ads. She has done lipsticks and feminine products. Another women tells her not in front of Father.

Mr. Sterling pays a prostitute telling her he hasn't done this since his navy days. She says the menu has not changed. He goes in for a kiss and she stops him but he makes the payment double. From their conversation after they have done everything.

Peggy's sister goes to confess to Father about her sins. She tells about how she despises her sister for creating stress for their mother. She tells him how "she seduced a married man". That is sinful. I hope the show eventually addresses the other half sinning as well with all the males having sex out of wedlock.

Bobby keeps getting into trouble and breaking stuff. He is playing with his robot and Betty demands for Don to discipline. Don throws the robot and it breaks into pieces. They argue upstairs and push each other while the kids listen downstairs. Betty tells Don Bobby needs a spanking. Later that evening Don tells Betty his father used to beat him and it just made him want to murder his dad. Betty says she did not know this and hugs him.

Father and Peggy are outdoors with children scurrying around for Easter eggs. Father hands Peggy a blue egg and says "for the little one". Peggy realizes after a few seconds in dismay he knows about the baby.
