Strong episode with good visuals

The crew encounter a prison ship.

Justice is strong episode with an excellent sci-fi concept, interesting themes on the nature of justice, a few great sight gags and some solid comedy banter.

The idea of the justice field is a good one and it not only works for the story, it also provides some solid laughs and is an interesting concept to ponder in itself. Overall this is what makes the episode so memorable, along with the make-up job depicting Lister's space mumps.

As for the comedy, it provides a mixture of banter and visual humour. The usual verbal sparring is up to the normal standard, with Rimmer being on the receiving end of the worst of it. It provides further insight into his character, so much so he is ridiculed in some of the harshest ways since the show began. The sight gags are all solid, particularly the scenes with Lister's illness and the episode's final punchline that stems from his overly excitable analysis of the show's theme.

Some of the visuals are great, particularly the scales of justice design of the prison ship, the ship's interiors and the Borg style costume/make-up of the simulant character.
