Review of Wellington: The Iron Duke Unmasked

The documentary explores the growing success of the Iron Duke, his breakout defeat of Napoleon in the Peninsular War, the Battle of Waterloo and his reactionary position on the Reform Bill as prime minister. Parallel with this we see his growing narcissism shown in his brutal treatment of the Duchess. I found this especially interesting as I am a descendent of Viscountess Fanny Nelson who had a similar situation to face. My new novel, Nelson's Folly explores this.
