Dark, sad, not going to be a comedy. Get over it and recognize it's a dark, sad series. If you want to laugh watch something else (try Would I Lie To You), but don't be surprised when Wallander leaves you feeling sad. It's a noir series. If it was light, airy and happy they'd get criticized for ditching the source material.
