Because this is where the story really takes off, after a pretty weak first season. That don't know what the show is and will be yet, at all. Some 1B episodes like The Convention, Independence Day, Crazy and Four Square, were interesting. While others like Into the Woods and Max to Max, were completely underwhelming. But like I said many times already, the TV soundtrack was there to give us something to hold on to. That was then, this is now... Honestly, this « new » music is all wrong. The most shocking changes, were songs replacing episodes 20 and 21 soundtrack. As well as miserable and my favorite mistake on episode 13, and stand by my woman during the « blind date ». The rest of the « playlist » is just decent or passable. As far as the build up goes, it is pretty messy overall. With characters appearing left and right, out of thin air. Only Nasedo is the one truly making sense, but isn't used to its full potential, I thought. Tess is the obstacle, and make season 2 look more exciting than it actually is. As for Pierce, his villainess is too cartoony and he clearly wasn't the right bad guy for the series. Season 1 is long to take off sometimes, but it has an undeniable appeal, and set the tone perfectly, for the rest of the series.
