Bud is getting low grades in science, he wants to buy an outboard motor and Jim will get it for him only if he gets his grade up.
A very good episode for Bud. It is well written with many good things going on. Bud studies hard for a test but his teacher Mr Glover is suspicious. Bud volunteers to stay after class and study with some of Mr Glover's other books. Bud knocks over some papers and picks them up and Glover catches him with the answers to the test. A good ending is worth waiting for in this one.
