Typical 21st century Hollywood reboot. Take the general plot of the original, pack it with replacement characters who don't have to struggle or work for anything, sprinkle some witty Gen Z banter, and top with a cute little mischievous mascot for prime marketing just in time for the holidays. Presto! You have yet another color by numbers reboot. Nothing new or original here, and certainly no risks taken by the corporate Hollywood machine. Probably the start to a new franchise that we totally needed. 4/10 for the cameos and Paul Rudd.
