Rock Dean (there's a name for a hero) takes Dr. Andrea Romar up the Amazon, she to find the secret of shrinking heads which she hopes has medical applications (?) and he to discover why the native workers are leaving the plantations which may involve the activities of Curucu, the legendary beast of the Amazon. She gets the secret of poll shrinkage and he discovers the secret of Curucu. John Bromfield as Rock is boring as a slab of stone but Beverly Garland is her usual attractively charming self as Dr. Ramar with a good line in terrified screaming. The plot is not engrossing but there is some good photography of the Amazon including wonderfully wide waterfalls. The music score is overly dramatic to the point of hilarity. Not a gripping thriller of a movie then but watchable if only for Ms. Garland.
