Sad at times movie about two puppies that manage to escape the place where experiments are being done on them. They become friends with this fox on their way, they try to get adopted but fail. Along with the foxy, they are attacking and eating sheep to survive. As the film progresses more and more of humanity wants to hunt them down, which all leads to them seeing the island as they are swimming towards it inside of the sea. Very well movie that is repetitive at times, and a bit slow. However, the film is still good and it reflects on our society to this day.
Somebody said that this is more depressing than Grave of the Fireflies. I'll say it right now, this film is nowhere near as depressing as Grave of the Fireflies. I did not tear up at all watching this movie, while I was crying a fountain when watching Fireflies. So heads-up, this film is not in the same boat as Fireflies.
