Brian convinces Sandra to investigate the bizarre death of a man, who was allegedly killed by his wife, after she had been hypnotised.
It's a solid episode, I can't say it's a favourite, but it's certainly watchable. The story is one of those that doesn't perhaps hang together, nor are the events that believable, but there are some well drawn characters, moments of humour, and an intriguing mystery.
I did like the scenes between Skye and Brian, there was something so nasty about his trick, almost a chilling moment. Bazeley did a good job here as the clever and devious magician. I really liked Sara Stewart here, good performance from her, and utterly beautiful. San Kelly provides the laughs.
I couldn't help but think of an episode of Murder, she wrote, the one where one of those hypnotised had cotton wool on their ears, it has a similar vibe.
