Three strong seasons are followed by five brutally bad, often repulsive seasons. In s4, The Practice's ideal episode would involve a serial killer who cuts off the heads of beautiful models while attempting to seduce a pregnant member of the firm who has a secret fetish. Truly abysmal after the series' strong start where in s1-3 it focused on difficult cases, the troubling ethics of successfully defending morally reprehensible clients, and the effect of that on well-intentioned lawyers. A real shame.
