. . . the Dizzy Kansas City mob proves that their K. C. school district offered little or no science education: BEE ON GUARD is a prime example of this instructional malpractice. The Dizzy drones depict bees as an entirely patriarchal society, complete with a bearded King Bee. There's nary a female in sight during BEE ON GUARD. Is this another example of Art imitating Life, or vice versa? Probably the latter, as it's a well-known fact that the fair sex always did all the REAL work on Dizzy animation, even though it's quite rare for a Ruth or Thelma to be given any on-screen credit. Most if not all the talking heads on the re-release DVD bonus features are dudes, who yak as if they had doodled in an all-male environment. The underpaid female worker bees at Dizzy were swept under the rug, with most records of their contributions or very existence torched, shredded, burned and deleted. What a crime against Humanity!
