Notice The Men Don't Do Anything
26 June 2022
It's another dull evening at the Lonely Hearts Club, a place where shy young men are supposed to meet shy young women. Only, of course, the men talk to men and the women complain. So Harriet Hutchins livens things up by having the women perform: an acrobatic trio, two dance numbers, and she sings a silly hot jazz number.

It's one of those shorts that was meant to replace the live acts at the movie theater, from back in the day when they would have some performers, or the vaudeville house would run movies between the shows. By this time, it wasn't usually enough to just have the acts. You had to have them in some sort of framework, and that's the basis of this one-reel movie.
