I joined this series in Season 2. Despite knowing the back story, the exposition makes no sense whatsoever. Jump cut after jump cut. Who did what to whom and why? Who are these people and what do they have to do with each other? What's the point of this jumble? I'll never find out because I QUIT WATCHING. A subsidiary reason for quitting is the almost-impenetrable Scots accents. I'm a long-time watcher of British TV fare, but never before have I felt the need of subtitles. Having seen most of the actors in other roles, I suspect that most of their Scots accents are put-on, which could explain why I can't understand them. It reminds me of the great Robin Williams routine about a Scotsman explaining golf - the impenetrability of his accent was the point of the routine. It seems to be the point of Guilt.
