Lovely, Great Music and Very Risqué for the Times.
7 October 2022
I agree with all of the positive reviews. But almost all are not written by people who lived in the late 50s and early 60s - a very Victorian time period in many, many ways. Lovely, Great Music and Very Risqué for the Times. Both Audrey was a paid escort and George a kept man which rarely made it on screen, let alone become popular. Add the crazy party. Well disguised or downplayed by the lovely music, and acting, and light humor. I loved re-watching it and appreciated it more. Cheers. . . . A personal note. I was born and raised in LA-LA-LAND and Hollywood where this was another day in the life off-screen. Enjoy.
