There are no real 'good guys' in this movie, but by the end all the worst people are dead, and many of the 'gray' people are still alive. It's triumphant, exciting, often funny as hell (by being unexpected), and amusingly caricatured through stellar performances and directing. Most of the truly great movies teach you about humanity and yourself, by forcing you to stretch your powers of empathy to include unlikely others. Admittedly, this is certainly not that. Nor does it have huge character development. But movies can also be great fun - especially if they respect their audience, respect their story, and respect their players. This is a very fine job...so much so that I awarded it one or two stars more than it deserved (I had avoided watching it for fear of disappointment.
