For them to spend so much time on Punk Rock and Grunge in episode 1 and not even mention how influential Hip Hop was on Gen X is an oversight that is inexcusable!!
How shortsighted can you be! The hip-hop movement actually evolved from a marriage of DJs and dancers in the punk rock and disco movement! These musicians graffiti artists, activists, early rappers, and singers changed, music forever and Gen Xers was where it started!!
This documentary should not even have been approved!!! In fact, NWA was even shown in a series of clips for one second but there was no mention! Just insulting and an offense to Black Gen Xers!
