Pivotal Episode And An Important One For Family & Drama Television
23 February 2023
This show (up until this point) has been naturally heartwarming and real in tone when it comes to portraying family dynamics, and the more crucial the situational aspects become- the more it can be heartwrenching and relatable. This episode is nothing short of that and is the heaviest episode of the series thus far... We see each and (almost) every one of the siblings caught off-guard in their own worlds while the unexpected happens & their schedules change to meet the challenges of this new tragedy. We see them reflect on the tragedy of their parents passing in a horrific car crash and deal with it in their own ways, while still being there to support one another. But with that support naturally comes tension, some are fed up with each other and the dynamics here feel too real to begin to even fathom. The episode ends outlooking a sunset while Claudia plays us off and the baby seems to enjoy it, its so beautiful and I will have to say that this is the best episode I've seen of the show this far. Episodes like these in the series keep me wanting more, it makes the show authentic and stand-out from others that surrounded its existence in the 90s and truly pressed the Dramily (Drama + Family) genre forward to new heights which only influenced the future of such shows to come.
