So great to have these characters who have survived so much trauma and neglect find each other. I HATE COP SHOWS. I hate the dullness of procedurals. But Ramon Rodriguez soars above and beyond the usual material. The supporting cast is top notch.
Great to see Erika Christensen, Iantha Richardson and Jake McLaughlin adding layers of humor and complexity to these stories.
I especially love the focus on the long terms impacts of abuse and what it takes to really heal, and be able to connect. Why don't we have more of this material given how absolutely mired we are as a culture? This show gives me hope.
