Vinod and Anuradha meet often but in a clandestine manner. Both are married but have problems with their spouses. Anuradha's sportsman husband is well built but a philanderer with no job of his own. He often is seen with women and does not even spare his own sister in law. Vinod's wife is from a rich family and often compares her husband to her own father and finds flaws. Both have school going children and work hard for their families trying to keep their personal life separate from professional one. During one of such quite afternoon meets in a seedy motel , they happen to see a murder in a nearby room. As the lodge itself is shady and known for ill repute , a lot of suspicions and rumours go around slowly . Both Vinod and anuradha try to hide themselves and their families from these unwanted developments. He is the editor of a big paper which has journos investigating this case with gusto. Anuradha's husband tries to mend himself paralelly . All 4 are shown to be humans and there are no fully black or white characters. Both understand each other better than their spouses. They try to find the killer before their own illicit meetings comes to the public notice. He even employs a costly detective agency for this . The lodge owner is deemed to be the killer as he lets out his rooms to any one and every one . Vinod resigns from his job to help the lodge owner and slowly his own story unravels in full glare of public . He tries to protect Anuradha by forming some silly story .

Finally Anuradha herself comes to the court and reveals that herself and Vinod love each other thus putting all rumours and speculations to rest and accepting her relation in public . A bold fine drama . Devoid of glamour , the main characters are shown to be middle aged with grey hair and heavy midriff showing. A very realistic story of its times.
