Booger from Revenge of the Nerds returns again as the incredibly grubby Metatron. Even the name is bad. Sounds like they wanted to put one of the Transformers into Supernatural but all they could afford was Booger.
Why does he keep returning? How can a guy with the body type of a grubworm get the drop on Castiel? Grubby Booger, a guy who had been hiding in a library for thousands of years overpowers an angel like Castiel?
Well, the sad tradition of Supernatural was that the lead characters were always dumber and more gullible than the villains. So Castiel, Bobby, the Winchesters, and their other allies (who usually got killed off), regularly got captured or otherwise compromised. Then the rest of the story was how they escaped, got out of trouble, or managed to win (or got killed off)...
Since Amora was at her weakest as a baby, and a little girl, it would have been nice to see Crowley stomp her out at that point. End of a boring character.
The other side is that Amora is attracted to Dean, the slag hound. So why doesn't he make the most simple choice and hook up with her? At least as her mate, he could guide her in a positive direction. He would also have more opportunities to kill her if necessary.
