Review of The Big Blast or A Many Splintered Thing/The Steal Hour or A Snitch in Time

. . . Part 30 of the Up-See-Daisy-Yum Saga, since it provides the template for Secret Agent Double Oh Seven's spoof of America's Fort Knox in GOLD-FINGER. Of course, the characters of this Bullwinkle Show episode are less cartoon-dish than those of Broccoli's live-action feature. Mr. Big is a far more ominous bad guy than Bond's title dude, Mr. Gold-finger. Furthermore, the three-dimensional Fort Knox guards rescued by 007 are way more inept, ludicrous and unbelievable than the sentries guarding Up-See-Daisy-Yum storage facility Fort Knickknack in this animated short. About the only aspect the Bond picture innovates better is the spray-painted bare babe.
