Bong Sang Pil (Lee Joon Gi) had a perfect life until the day they killed his mother and tried to kill him too. Then to escape being found he moved in with his uncle and began to live the life of a gangster (tough physical fights and evading the law). To avenge his mother's death he decides to study law and get back at the people that think they are above the law. Whatever gets the job done he would do it, barely within the law. He finds the loopholes. He goes back to his home town and reopens his mothers law firm, with the help of some crafty side kicks.
Ha Jae Yi (Seo Ye Ji) a young lawyer who believes in the law and what it stands for. She gets suspended when she punches the judge afther giving, what she believes, the wrong ruling. She goes back to her home town and ends up working with Sang Pil.
