Another gem that I discovered this weekend is Pokhar ke dunu paar (On either side of the pond)
The movie is a moving portrait of youth, love, with the corona virus pandemic lurking around them. Amidst the 2020 Coronavirus Pandemic, Sumit and Priyanka, an eloped couple, return to the security of their hometown. While Priyanka feels uneasy in the suffocating familiarity of her town, Sumit immerses himself in his tribe of friends.
The movie feels like a lived-in experience. It literally takes you inside the lives of Sumit and Priyanka and let's you watch their lives unfold while almost making you feel like a voyeur. It's the treatment of the film that's captivating, slow and the dialogues and simply slice of life. Extremely relatable and one can actually feel like you have been there too.
The movie showcases some very fine performances by the lead pair Abhinav Jha, Tanaya Khan Jha, Dheeraj and few more amazing actors who have equally performed brilliantly.
I guess none of the actors in the film are any known faces which makes them extremely familiar. Watch it for the dialogues and the interactions between the characters and you will know what i am talking about.
