Review of The Sympathizer

Robert Downey Jr is chewing the scenery so much in ever appearance I genuinely thought he was just the CIA agent in disguises all the time. I don't understand how the producers and directors didn't realize how obviously similar he looks in every single character. At one point he is Claude IN disguise so it doubles the confusion but more than anything it just ruins the whole show. This is just a lame vanity project for an actor who just won an Oscar and thinks he can do anything. Except, if you look at all of his performances he is either playing himself or variations of a grizzled, enigma character and he's not capable of pulling off 4 characters. He's not Peter Sellers and the makeup department blew it.
