Beautiful Eleanor Parker, one of the most underrated actresses. Eleanor was beautiful and extremely talented a great actress. I will never understand why Grace Kelly won an Oscar with her limited range. Parker was nominated but never took home the award. It's a disgrace! Barbara Stanwyck too never won an Oscar, but Kelly did? Her win must have been political. I loved this movie. I liked it more than the painted veil with Garbo. Garbo is known more for her beauty than her acting skills in my opinion. I get why Parker was bored with her husband, he was a bore. But, a great man helping the poor, the needy. Parker was blind to the good in her husband. Because she was selfish, ignorant. Sander's and Parker had great chemistry together. Quite a few witty lines I had a chuckle or two. The sisters at the convent helped Parker to find herself. But by the time she realized that her husband really loved her and to make things right with her husband, it was too late. He succumbed to the virus. I would definitely watch this movie again.
