I stumbled upon this series while browsing through HBO and I have not been disappointed yet. This episode despite its flaws still came across as an engaging and downright compelling piece of art.
Never knowing who did what and which way the murder will swing has me on edge and I live for the cliff. The husband is definitely a charmer, he knows how to get what he wants and it is that same logic, the wife's father hates so much. He sees himself in the young man.
I'm bewitched with the writing and the acting is really convincing besides a few scenes but majority rules. My only problem with the episode is the fact that the wife got up for a jog, senses she is being followed and then continues?? No one does that, and then it automatically becomes day time after????
However, and this is speculation, I believe this was purposefully done to foreshadow that this character can sometimes make irrational decisions when overwhelmed and can often lose track of considerable time.
I can't wait to jump into the next episode to confirm my thoughts. 8/10, great television, thank you for your time.
