Daughter of writer Sven Moren, she made her debut in 1929, and quickly established herself as the leading female Norwegian writer of her generation. She was an all-round writer, equally familiar to poetry, drama, short stories and children's books. In addition to her own production, she was often used as a translater: "Hamlet" and "Phaedra" are amongst the 52 classical dramas she translated from their native languages into norwegian. Her career would span nearly 70 years. She died in 1995, and was given a state funeral. She's buried in Vinje, Telemark, side by side with her husband Tarjei Vesaas.- Additional Crew
