His most memorable stage work was the role as Tsar Boris in the popular staging of the trilogy on Russian Tsars by Aleksei Tolstoy. His partners on stage and in film were Galina Korotkevich, Natalya Danilova, Tatiana Samarina, Mikhail Khrabrov, Yefim Kamenetsky, Georgiy Korolchuk, Aleksandr Galibin, Boris Sokolov, Petr Shelokhonov, and other notable Russian actors.
Stanislav Landgraf was designated People's Artist of Russia and was awarded the State Prize of the USSR for his stage work.
