Boris Grigorev is Soviet and Russian film actor, director, teacher. Honored Artist of Russia (2000). In 1952-1958 he studied at the construction department of the Ural Polytechnic Institute of Sergey Kirov in Sverdlovsk. In 1965, he graduated from the directing department of VGIK (workshop of Sergey Gerasimov and Tamara Makarova). From 1964 Grigorev worked as a production director at the M. Gorkiy's Studio. He taught at the directing department of the VIPPK (All-Russian Institute for Retraining and Advanced Training of Cinematographic Workers). Since 2006, he has led a workshop (together with Yuriy Kara) at the Film and Television Department of the Moscow Academy of Education of Natalya Nesterova. Boris Grigorev shot 17 motion pictures.
