Raghu, a village priest and Anna's sycophant is seen as a religious advisor by Anna's family. Anna is known for having children,out of wedlock with several women in the village, but still no one opens their mouth in front of him or police. But the biggest shock in Anna's life comes when the newly transferred Mr. Kamlakar Patankar and his wife Kumudini Patankar arrive in the village. Anna is instantly enamored by the beauty of Kumudini who reveals her birth name Shevanta to him. Shevanta is also smitten by the macho image of Anna, in comparison to her feeble husband. Anna and Shevanta's secret affair leads to the birth of Sushma, whom Kamlakar unknowingly raises as his own daughter. Eventually as time passes, Shevanta becomes increasingly greedy about the wealth of Anna and demands a legit marriage . Subsequently Anna kills Kamlakar and several people who come in his way of getting Shevanta. But after marriage Anna dumps Shevanta to save himself. Thus Shevanta to avenge her insult commits suicide in front of the Naik family, vowing that she wont let the Naik family live in peace.
