Lagoona and Gil are offended, and decide to prove that the stereotype is false. Throughout the week, the young couple makes an extra effort to keep their egg safe and warm. At the end of the week, Hackington locates a crack at the couple's egg and gleefully fails them. But then the teacher realizes that the egg is about to hatch. His laboratory assistant informs Hackington that he chose fresh gargoyle eggs for this assignment. A baby gargoyle emerges from the egg, and proceeds to attack Hackington. Lagoona and Gil proudly note that their egg was the only one which hatched, indicating that they are better parents than their classmates.
