The carnival is sold but Milton reveals that the new owner has conspired to defraud the insurance company. The firm has to accept the carnival in lieu of the money owed, and they allow Milton and Vivian to stay with, and help run, the carnival.

Circumstances will compel Jangu's mother to change her mind about his long life and safety, and she not only curse but also viciously assault, and wish him dead.

It only takes the circus manager about fifteen minutes to figure out the obvious suspect was the guilty one.
- When a circus troupe comes to a small, extremely conservative New England town, the residents go to their minister to have him protest the scandalous fact that the female tightrope walker wears a pair of pink tights. When she has an accident and is forced to recuperate at the minister's house, he has to hide her in order to avoid even more of a scandal. Mazie Darton, a high-wire performer with a traveling circus, longs for a peaceful country life. Forced to stay in a small town while laid up with an injury, Darton is spurned by the conservative townspeople. Rev. Jonathon Meek, the local parson, befriends the circus troupe, especially Darton. But he, too, opens himself to criticism from his flock, who protest his closeness with the show people. Eventually, Darton's boyfriend arrives and the pair become closer. The parson fades from the scene as a possible mate for Darton, who ends up winning the hearts of the townspeople.

- When her circus-performer parents die in an accident, Christine, a young girl, is raised by other circus-performers, including Hagan, a balloon-vender, and Pete Barman as her guardians. When she grows up, she asks to also become a performer, and Barman agrees. Bob Hastings joins the traveling circus as its doctor, and he and Christine fall in love. This angers Barman, who is also in love with her.
- The Lion, the King of the Jungle, is taking his royal snooze when a mouse comes on a safari to his royal hideaway. The mouse is from Bungling Brothers Circus [us], and his mission is to take HRH back to the states as a circus act. The mouse then goes about his business of capturing the lion. At the fadeout, back in the USA, the lion of performing on a precarious tight-rope, high above the arena sawdust, while the mouse whip lashes him.

- Looey the Lion is tossed out of the circus for ruining an act in progress. He works hard and devises himself a high-wire bicycle act, sneaks back into the circus, has many mishaps while performing his, and is thrown out again.
