'a divine descent' follows our protagonist's (Alex McCarthy) descent into despair, as he battles with grief from the loss of his loved one. He begins to question his faith as he pushes away his friends and family, trying to attach blame for his loss. He journeys to the Scottish highlands in an attempt to find solace in his memories and to escape reality, but is met with violent weather, treacherous conditions and painful realities.
