Through the work of philosopher and poet Rainer Maria Rilke, the film "Mise-en-scéne, a artesania do artista" (Staging, the artist's craft) aims to treat art as a fundamental mode of existence, where we can sublimate what sometimes seems distant, scary or unattainable to us, Themes like childhood, life, creation, politics and death, generate reflections by the actors in the movie, through conversations and artistic expressions that makes us feel the strength of the arts and the diverse sensations generated in each one of us. These moments are intertwined with a mysterious character in the film, portrayed by a masked figure that is at first, disconnected from its art, lost, wondering through a solitary world and that when faced with childhood memories, manages to rescue the innocence and purity of a child that brings him back to a theatre stage. Between reflections and sensations, Mise-en- scéne establishes a dialogue between reality and the playful spirit, trying to bring light to the importance of the trajectory of the artist in this world and the multiplicity of life in the art universe.

"Art is childhood, art means not knowing that the world already exists and having that feeling that we need to create one. It is not about destroying what we find but simply not seeing anything as a final product. Nothing more than possibilities. Nothing more than desires. And, suddenly, being an endeavor, being summer, having the sun, without involuntarily talking about it. Never being finished. Never getting to the seventh day. Never seeing that everything is good . Dissatisfaction means youth." Rainer Maria Rilke
