Dreams of Escape" is a short film inspired by Danish Motivations programs at refugee centers. In the near future, the government establishes centers to motivate refugees to return home voluntarily. Babak, whose asylum claim was rejected, is sent to one of these centers with his 8-year-old son, Ahmed. They face a tough choice: stay in a dehumanizing center or return to their home country, where Babak's life is at risk. Unable to go back and with no chance to appeal their asylum case, they find themselves in a bleak limbo, with dire consequences for Ahmed's health.
