Connor Mackey, (25), is your normal scruffy, doesn't-have-his-s&%!-together, twenty-something. Except for one key point. A few months ago, he started hearing voices, seeing things. He's done some research, and apparently schizophrenia typically emerges in your early to mid-20s. What started as only a taunting voice, became an apparition - the demonic sort. Connor's duress has caused his type-A, no-nonsense girlfriend to leave him, suggesting he see a psychiatrist. After moving back in with his elderly mother, they all agree, Connor needs help. But Connor doesn't want traditional psychiatry. He definitely doesn't want talk therapy. Eventually, he finds himself perusing the deep web, where he stumbles upon Chain-link Pharma. Chain-link has started a brand-new cutting-edge drug trial, which may be able to permanently cure schizophrenia. "Sign me up." Connor embarks to Chain-Link, where he meets esteemed psychiatrist, Barbara O' Doyle, who assesses his candidacy for the trial. Only things don't go so smoothly when his demonic apparition arrives on the scene. A demon, who only Connor can see, makes a dangerous proposition. "Let me in, or I'll kill the psychiatrist myself". Connor gets entangled in a dangerous game of cat-and-mouse with the Devil, a psychiatrist, and his own sanity.
