With the completion of the Transcontinental Railroad, the American Frontier was tamed faster than ever before. Gone were the days of long wagon caravan journeys to California and Oregon; anyone and everyone could travel by train from coast to coast. By the end of World War I, the days of the Wild West existed only as tall tales told on stage. This is the world that Jack and Heath Warren are born into, men outside of time, the dead image of a cowboy in a world that no longer wants them. On returning home from war, Heath Warren finds his family ranch in ruins. After learning of the men who took everything from him, Heath sets out for the small town of Antelope to find the one person he needs the most: his brother Jack. But life for Jack looks different after war. Suffering from severe nerve damage in his arm and blindness in one eye, Jack attempts to put the life of a solider behind him, turn to his new Church community, seeking salvation for his actions overseas. Amidst their reunion, the brothers find themselves thrust between the people of Antelope and outlaws that had a hand in destroying their old lives.
