A young autistic boy, Rasheed, meets a young man, Abdullah, who resembles his G.I. Joe. After Abdullah saves him from some bullies, they become friends. Rasheed who lives with his single mom, Sarina, is smart enough to find his way to school by himself, but occasionally gets sidetracked and likes to build forts for his G.I. Joe doll whenever he finds rocks. Abdullah who lives with his fiance Morgan, is under a lot of pressure from her to better himself. She holds the key to his dream job and forces him to give up a fishing date with Rasheed to go instead to the catering hall to plan their wedding. Unfortunately, this ends in tragedy, and every body's lives are changed.
