- The version shown on Turner Classic Movies is the updated one from 1940, as it includes footage of the Hindenburg disaster of 1937.
- Though this has a "British Board of Film Censors" opening title, the extant print is seems to be the 1940 USA release. It's choppy in several parts of the premodern segments with actors, with somewhat sloppy edits that cut into the narration in some spots. Apparently it was trimmed down a bit to make room for the post-1936 material, including the loss of Amelia Earhart, the Hindenburg Explosion, a speed record set in 1938 and the early stages of World War Two, including sound byte footage of PM Churchill.
